Für Entdecker junger Talente
Jung, begabt und aufstrebend: Die Musikerinnen und Musiker des „Klassik-Marathons“ zählen zu jenen Talenten, die an der Schwelle zu einer großen Laufbahn stehen. Sie alle haben bereits prestigeträchtige Preise gewonnen und drängen nun mit frischen Impulsen auf den Klassikmarkt. Doch aller Anfang ist schwer – und deshalb hat es sich das Rheingau Musik Festival seit 1997 zur Aufgabe gemacht, diese jungen Musikerinnen und Musiker zu entdecken, zu fördern und sie bei ihren ersten Schritten auf der großen Konzertbühne zu begleiten. In Kammermusikformationen oder solistisch finden sie sich auf der Johannisberger Schlossbühne im Fürst-von-Metternich-Saal zu einem abwechslungsreichen Konzertabend ein und erproben in den unterschiedlichsten Besetzungen das Auftreten vor großem Publikum – denn wir sind uns sicher, dass man nicht zum letzten Mal von ihnen gehört haben wird …

Who’s on stage
Royal Northern Sinfonia take to the stage in the intimate surroundings of Sage Two, with double bassist Will Duerden stepping into the limelight as both soloist and director.
What they’re playing
This is like a musical pick and mix, with a brightly coloured and highly flavoured selection of music that ranges from the ancient to recent, including music by Baroque composer Lully and one of the 20th century’s best-loved composers, Gustav Holst.

Remembering Laura Skuce
This concert is to remember and celebrate the life of my amazing mum Laura Skuce. This date marks the 10 year anniversary and so I thought it would be fitting to get some very close friends of mine and bring a fantastic evening of music to St Mary’s. Laura was an incredibly outgoing and caring person and loved everything that sparkled. Please don’t hesitate to wear outrageous colours, sequins and glitter, in true Laura style! I hope to see you there!
